    Prerequisites

    The institution/user has proven sufficient knowledge to safely operate a server on the public internet.
    The institution/user has a contact person/administrator available to work with the RRZE.
    The institution/user reports any malfunctions affecting operation to the RRZE service desk (email: noc@fau.de and cc-support@fau.de,
    telephone: +49 9131 85-29955).

    Terms and conditions
    The RRZE provides users with a publicly routed IP address for their instance, (software) router or loadbalancer.
    Use is permitted for research and teaching purposes only.
    The specified ports are enforced by ACLs subject to a positive check.
    Changes to the ports are only possible by submitting a new application and are subject to review by the RRZE.
    Permanent use of the public IP is not intended.

    The DNS entries are predefined. A CNAME can be requested. Among other things, the usual FAU guidelines apply:

    A basic requirement is compliance of the guidelines applicable at FAU.
    The RRZE will immediately shut down and without prior notice the system or IP address in the event of any
    irregularities.
